- Imogene Lake at sunrise
- Breaking down camp and drying stuff before packing it up.
- On our way up to the pass, we broke out of the trees and there was our wall. Fortunately, we would stay in the shade the entire climb.
- Edith Lake - there was some camping around this lake, but they did not look very appealing.
- Edith Lake - just an awesome blue color surrounded by all the bleached rock.
- Unnamed Lake where we stopped to take a five minute break.
- Toxaway Lake - we would never really get close to the shoreline so most pictures are obscured.
- Toxaway Lake - notice the bowl above the lake. Wonder if there is a lake up there during the snow melt.
- Before we start our climb to the last pass we stopped and had lunch at an outcropping. This was the view of Toxaway Lake.
- As we begin the ascent up to the pass, we crossed this small creek that emptied into Toxaway.
- Up on the pass looking down the valley that we just ascended. This was another set of unnamed lakes.
- On the pass looking down on Twin Lakes and Alice Lake (back left side)
- Switching sides on the pass, background is the valley we just ascended.
- Looking at the mountain range that holds Twin Lakes in its place.
- You will end up seeing quite a few pictures of these peaks. This was the most scenic part of the trip.
- Interesting picture of the landscape with the mountain range in the background.
- This peak had an interesting shape to it where you can tell where the snow melt runs off to the side.
- The valley curves off to the left and will lead us to the trail head tomorrow. About 6 miles from Alice Lake.
- The trail side hills almost all the way down to the lakes.
- This was the last turn in the switchbacks up to the pass. Come around this corner and you get a picture window of the other side.
- Looking out over the lakes before heading down.
- Came across another buck using the trails to get around.
- Twin Lakes - looking up at the pass we just came down (middle of the picture)
- Campsite 5 - wash and hang clothes. The shirts would dry within an hour after being washed in the lake.
- Sawtooth version of El Capitan over looking Alice Lake
- From our campsite we had this awesome view of the islands within Alice Lake and the mountain range.
- Another picture to try and capture how awesome the water was in these lakes.
